Bhubaneswar ,18/7: The Apex Council Meeting of Odisha Cricket Association was held today at OCA office. Pankaj Lochan Mohanty (President, OCA) presided over the meeting and then the meeting was conducted by Sanjay Behera (Secretary, OCA). In this meeting, the APEX Council has expressed its heartiest thanks to Hon’ble Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Tusharkanti Behera (Minister, Sports & Y.S. Dept. Govt), V. K. Pandian, IAS (Private Secretary to CM, Secretary to CM Transformation and Initiatives (5T)), R Vineel Krishna, IAS (Commissioner Cum Secretary Sports & Y.S. Dept. Govt. of Odisha) and Sourav Ganguly (BCCI President), Arun Kumar Dhumal (Treasurer, BCCI), Abhisek Dalmia (Secretary, CAB), all the Member of Legislative Assembly for the gracious presence in the T-20 International match.
The APEX Council of Odisha Cricket Association has also expressed thanks to the entire police department Sunil Kumar Bansal IPS (DG Police), Soumendra Kumar Priyadarshi, IPS (Commissioner of Police, BBSRCTC), Pinak Mishra IPS (DCP, Cuttack), Prateek Singh IPS (DCP, Bhubaneswar), Pramod Rath(DCP, Crime). Dr. Suresh Chandra Dalai IAS (RDC (CD), DCP Traffic, Santosh Kumar Upadhyay IPS (DG Fire),
Bhabani Shankar Chayani, OAS(Special Secretary) Collector & District Magistrate, Cuttack , Ananya Das, IAS (Ex-CMC municipal commissioner), Subash Singh (Mayor, Cuttack), CDMO Cuttack & other Govt. officials. Special thanks to Sports & Youth Services department for actively involved during the T-20 International match played between India Vs South Africa at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on 12th June 2022. Whole hearted Support and Cooperation extended by all the departments of Govt. of Odisha.
Also the APEX Council has expressed its thanks to the Chairman and Members of various Sub-Committees of OCA for their smooth co-ordination in their respective areas.
The Apex Committee welcomed the decision of Cricket Advisory Committee to have appointed R Srikanth as the Lead Coach of Odisha Senior Men Team for the season 2022-23. Also, approved the appointment of Purnendu Jena as the Head S & C Coach. Also it was decided that there will be two coaches pool for Senior & Junior group – they will be working the Odisha Cricket Academy and
subsequently attached with the respective age group during BCCI Domestic 2022-23.
Also it was discussed that, Odisha Cricket Association has nominated 10 candidates for Hybrid Level-I coaching course in 2 batches, 1 candidates for the BCCI Curator workshop, 5 candidates for BCCI
Umpiring Level-II course & 3 candidates for BCCI-NCA Level-I Strength & Conditioning Coaches workshop as part of the developmental program.
The following points were discussed and confirmed in this meeting:
01) Various developmental activity pertaining to Umpires, Coaches, Scorers & Tech Analysts upskilling programs will be conducted in near future.
02) Odisha Cricket Association will resume the cricketing affair for the Men – Super League of Kalahandi Cup and Women – Odisha Women T20 League for the season 2022-23 in near future.
