Cuttack,27/09: Announcement of Re-development of Historic Barabati Stadium & Integrated Sports Complex .
Barabati Stadium stands tall as an iconic stadium in the world map and needs modernization with changing time.
Hence the member of Odisha Cricket Association are thankful to Hon’ble Chief
Minister Naveen Patnaik. who has always promoted sports and has been instrumental in giving Odisha a new identity as a SPORTS Capital. In this initiative Barabati Stadium would be upgraded with modern amenities that would meet the international guidelines to host mega events like the Cricket
World Cup in near future. V K Pandiyan (5T Chairman and Nabin Odisha) and DSYS are instrumental in retaining Barabati Stadium the historical venue – which will be given a new look & feel
with the re-development project.
Inauguration of 41 Cricket Academies developed by Odisha Cricket Association in 30 districts. This has been a dream project of Sanjay Behera (Secretary, OCA) and his team of Office Bearers . where a detailed structural approach has been taken to help cricket reach nook and corner of all our district that would in return help cricketers of our state.
In line to this, first a Curator Program was designed and OCA has deputed Curators across all the 41 District Academies who would take proper steps to maintain the Turf Wickets. OCA has been continuously engaged in Coaches Education which would bring an uniformity in Coaching.
